Check it out.  Deirdre, who is a principal of BPMW (Brand P!mp$ & Media Wh*res) and a buyer for Next, stopped in to the Beachwood store for a shakedown on what’s to come in 2008.  To give you a little background on Deirdre, she moved up the ranks at Bloomingdales as a buyer, where she started in 1998.  In 2003 she was awarded their highest achievement (Buyer of the Year).  Soon after, she felt the urge to do her own thing and started BPMW, which is a full service branding consultancy specializing in today’s expanding youth lifestyle culture. Deirdre and BPMW are well regarded in the industry and one of the first people/places editors (i.e. NY Times) call for insight into what’s next in fashion. The great thing is that Deirdre does not flaunt these kinds of things and we can assure you that she is quite friendly, courteous, professional and definitely cool. Don’t let the ring fool you! Be sure to check out their site.
The dudes over at Format Magazine did an interesting interview with Erik Brunetti, founder of FUCT. Brunetti has very strong opinions about art, street culture, and clothing and is definitely a unique personality in the t-shirt business. Brunetti is an OG when it comes to street fashion so trust what the man says. Check the interview here. Â
You saw the fitted snippet and now we have a little more to look at this time. The new 10 Deep fall collection is going to be very slick and is titled “Targeted/Hearts & Minds”. This new collection proves a step up for the 10 year old streetwear staple, with an addition of varied denim cuts, flannels, and technical outerwear pieces.
The first shipment goes out worldwide today and should be hitting Next shelves a short time after.
Check 10 Deep’s website for the full fall lookbook. Check RoN for when we get it in store.
Fashion week is in full force in New York and last night Gwen Stefani returned to the runway after a 2-year hiatus. The sixties-inspired collection was equally refined and playful, totally wearable, and undeniably Gwen. Below are some of our favorite looks from the show and don’t forget to check our current L.A.M.B. collection at Next Beachwood now. Photos: style.com
We love collaborations and can not resist from bringing the Lemar & DauleyDC Volcano line when we saw it. We will be bringing in the Black/Mars Red, which was partially inspired by Lemar and Dauley’s logo colors. This is a very limited launch (less than 1,500 in the USA), and will be sold through only 18 stores. Next Beachwood is proud to be one of DC’s “top image accounts”. Feel free to call to reserve yours. More pics to follow. Stay tuned!
