Banksy vs. Shepard Fairey?

The biggest graffiti beef in history? Quite possibly.
Notorious UK graffiti writer Banksy recently was seen hitting a wall on London’s East End that could possibly be a reaction to Obey creator and wheat-paste street artist Shepard Fairey’s recent exhibition in London. Notice the generic flower imagery and the apathetic painter sitting on his paint can, not really putting passion into his work. Or, this might be interpreted as the graffiti art blossoming off of the street (the double yellow lines) and into mainstream culture. Yet still, it might be criticism on both… hard to say.
You decide.

I dont think there is any beef – quite the opposite if you look around london adn see the shepard farey posters up around the banksy peices and the same throughout LA and NY where they worked together on pieces!

Yeah, probably not. Especially considering that Banksy did his first gallery shows in NY and LA this past year and both were sell out smash hits. Brad and Angelina both bought works. Banksy has sold out to the gallery setting but still keeps it fairly guerilla and still bombs the streets regularly.
