Here’s some pics from the opening of the Crooks and Castles store on Melrose Ave. in LA. Looks like a dope store!

Here’s a cool little article about a very slept on shoe brand that we currently carry in store. Get hip.

Skateboard P makes a look book where you actually have to flip the pages. Dope. Look for some of this to come through the store in the coming months.
Season Six BBC/Ice Cream Look Book.

I bet Kanye has one, just because.
I wasn’t aware of this, but apparently there are still ski resorts out there that don’t allow snowboarding. 4 in the US in fact. Well, snowboarding powerhouse Burton isn’t too happy about this and has offered $5 G’s to anybody who sneaks onto these mountains and “poaches” them, i.e. snowboards illegally on them and films it. Pretty cool marketing/protest campaign rolled into one. Check the video for a how to.

“A graffiti wall with drawings by original graffiti subway artists Fab Five Freddy, Futura 2000 and some traces by Jean-Michel Basquiat is seen Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007 in New York. The large mural, created by some of graffiti’s earliest pioneers, was discovered recently in a 10-story limestone building just as developers were converting it into luxury condominiums.” For full article check here.
First video off of Hi-Tek’s Hi-Teknology 3 which dropped a few weeks ago. Features Cross, Showtime, Man, and Chip tha Ripper.
Apparently, 75% of Ohio rappers wear jeweled grillz in their mouth. Who knew?
I caught this last night on the boob tube and was surprised I’d never seen anyone blog about it before. It’s directed by Terry Richardson (dude that takes the disposable pic at the end) and features Vincent Gallo, both of which were featured in the new Supreme Mag. Theres’s also a cameo of Earsnot, NY graffiti artist and Alife designer. And I think thats RZA on the track? Interesting ad mixing edgy and artistic.

Check out The Gamerator. Finally, someone combined an arcade-style gaming machine with the frosty goodness of a kegerator, culminating in a gaming-and-boozing powerhouse. The Gamerator ($4000) is a combination of a Windows XP machine pre-loaded with more than 150 licensed classic arcade games, a refrigerated interior able to hold a standard “pony” keg with tap, and a 26-inch HDTV. It also includes a free one-year GameTap gold membership, providing online access to more than 1000 games. Sweeeeeeeeeet.

Think of Gourmet’s as Vans Meets Air Jordan. They take Jordan uppers, recreate them in canvas, and throw them on some Vans style vulcanized soles. Definitely an interesting new shoe making a lot of noise recently. So far, they’ve emulated the Jordan VII and the XI. Next recently received these XI’s so stop by if you want to see them in person.
