This has been out for a little while now, but it is such an excellent write up that I felt the need to post on it here just in case anybody missed it. Dan Love over at OhWord did an incredible job breaking down Nas’ seminal hip hop classic Illmatic into each track’s respective samples. He also goes in on a history of the artists and all kinds of other stuff. Definitely an excellent blog post. It takes a lil time to get through, but is absolutely worth it.
