I had the opportunity to join Timberland and City Year New York on a “service†event in the South Bronx this past 9/11. City Year and Timberland do many events throughout the year that most people don’t know about. It is a really wonderful “work†that they do, in an effort to give back to the community. This particular event took place in the South Bronx, at the Clara Barton elementary school, and the Boys and Girls club nearby. Together, we made improvements to a vacant lot next to the school, by painting murals, planting trees, and building flower boxes for future planting. Timberland has been working with this school for the past six years, and the results can be seen all around. Here a few pictures from the daySteve.

New Ipod Nano’s to hit the market place, the iPod Nano and Touch will be getting a bit of a touch up. It seems to have been upgraded for a sporter feel. It comes with a larger curved glass screen in various colors, and the coolest feature is that give the device a shake (triggering the accelerometer) and it goes into shuffle mode. Capping off the updates is a new version of iTunes and storage of 8GB or 16GB.

Josh Spear has a nice interview with dope artist Chuck Anderson, also known as No Pattern. If you think you aren’t familiar, you probably already are. He designed Lupe and Fall Out Boy’s album covers, as well as some prints for various streetwear brands. It’s definitely worth a read. I have had this image as my desktop wallpaper for a grip now:
