One of Nike’s most innovative sneakers, Air Max was first introduced in 1987, catering specifically to runners, The signature see-through Air Sole attracted the attention of consumers and runners, and continues to be a staple in the market. This season, the folks at Nike took cues from Air Max and created an original – Air Maxim 1.
The new Air Maxim 1 is 66% lighter than the Original Air Max 1, clocking in at only 10.1 oz. This is made possible by both the Acespan Mesh that was developed in 2008 for the Lunar Racer, and also a new Flywire technology used in the 2008 Zoom Victory Spike. Available in a blue and red, the Air Maxim also feature interesting translucent rip-stop nylon upper that is stylistically reminiscent of the see through Air Soles. Currently available at NEXT Beachwood.
