Cleveland’s West Side Skatepark Public Forum

DSC_0526
I traveled to the West Side of Cleveland to attend a public discussion concerning the installation of a Grindline skatepark.

Here is what I learned:
1. Grindline has successfully created skate parks in loads of other cities.
2. The City of Cleveland’s representative didn’t have answers for the public’s questions. (Politics. Yes!)

3. The skaters in attendance want the park, want the park to have lights, and want it to be unsupervised.
4. Some of the residents of areas surrounding the possible site are worried about street conditions, noise, and graffiti.

5. Dogs were in attendance.

Why I Wear What I wear: Diandre

Explanation from Adam: I feel like a large part of style is having a personal philosophy that guides you when you get dressed, or add to your wardrobe. Style is not just liking what you wear, but also, understanding why you like what you wear, and understanding that the clothes you wear can reflect the kind of person you are, or mood you are in.

So, as a new series for Ruleofnext I am going to be asking our customers: Why do you wear what you wear?

Why I wear what I wear: Diandre’s answer

“It’s and expression of me. It shows my originality and personality. Right now I am rocking some corduroys, because I don’t see anyone else in Cleveland doing that. I customized my dunks with some original drawings and glow in the dark shoe strings no one would ever expect that.”

San Fran video DJ Mike Relm put together this cool trailer remix for Iron Man 2. Mike Relm does a crazy job mashing up audio with video in his DJ sets and this is just a small example of his talent. Iron Man 2 is out May 7th.

Murs and 9th Wonder dropped a third official tag-team album a little while back and this is probably the best cut off of it. I really wasn’t impressed with this album on a whole because most of the concepts are generic or gimmicky (see: Asian Girl) lyric wise. But, the beats are mostly on point and this opening joint with Kurupt takes the cake. Give it a listen.

Enter: The Most Awesomest Thing Ever. It randomly pits two things, and pretty much anything counts as long as you can point to it on Wikipedia, against one another in a trial of Awesomeness. You vote on which one is more awesome, and the other one explodes. The search for the most awesome thing has concepts like the Internet, Life, Music, Ninjas, and Lasers garnering the most votes, while Kevin Federline is at the bottom of the list. So kill some time and cast your vote.

NOTE – obviously, Hadouken won the above battle.

Boston Sucks!

Playoff Basketball is in full swing, Cavs are looking great and the Magic still suck. But this Boston fan may of had one too many green beer’s.
