Footage from our recent “He’s the Blogger, I’m the DJ” event that featured the likes of Tezo, Erika Kayne, and Machine Gun Kelly. Remember: Any artist can come have their music played/heard! Just bring it in on a USB drive and you’re good!
Another brilliant stop-motion street art animation by artist BLU. This is probably BLU’s best work so far in my opinion, in that this one is cyclical and has a sense of plot and message, rather than just the random transformations of his previous projects. Check it out and see for yourself.
Public prank squad Improv Everywhere recently did a spoof-tacular (or is it spook-tacular?) parody of everyone’s favorite ghost movie. Check out the prank they conducted at the New York Public Library.
Whether you like it or not, robots are coming. These two are highly advanced flying and walking robots designed at the University of Pennsylvania and University of Southern California, respectively. Not that we’ll be using these at Next anytime soon, but I thought they were pretty cool. A couple more interesting and creepy bots after the jump.
A Colorado artist named Jason Kay recently pulled this art prank, commonly known as “shopdropping”, at his local supermarket. Kay relabled numerous bottles of Gatorade with a parody of Tiger Woods and the words ‘Unfaithful’. Check the clip above and read what happened to Kay here.
This is a video by Takayuki Akachi of a girl traveling the world in her Levi’s. To me, this is what raw denim is all about- wearing your jeans as part of your journey. As this girls second skin, the fabric literally records the history of her two year trip around the world. You can see how her denim fades and ages into a beautiful shades of blue that can only be achieved by constant wear.
This is a video I took with my hidden camera, its of Steve and Rob in some sort of training class, Rob keeps tapping Steve on the shoulder, Steve gets pissed and slaps a innocent man sitting being him, after he takes his shirt off.
This is one of the best music video’s I’ve seen in awhile. Cool imagery and slick animation in contrast with the little kids putting on a school play… great message and concept.
