Explanation from Adam: I feel like a large part of style is having a personal philosophy that guides you when you get dressed, or add to your wardrobe. Style is not just liking what you wear, but also, understanding why you like what you wear, and understanding that the clothes you wear can reflect the kind of person you are, or mood you are in.

Why I wear what I wear: Diandre’s answer
“It’s and expression of me. It shows my originality and personality. Right now I am rocking some corduroys, because I don’t see anyone else in Cleveland doing that. I customized my dunks with some original drawings and glow in the dark shoe strings no one would ever expect that.”

“I wear what I wear because I love fashion. I don’t like to be a clone. I like 10 Deep, Crooks and Castles, Y&R, Stussy. I have been trying to get a gig in fashion, modeling or photography because I feel like I have the eye for it. I just like style. That’s me and fashion is who I am.”

If you look good and are a nice person nobody can ever rag on you about your attitude of your fashion. Especially in the United States, staying trendy makes you stand out and I like that.”

I get my tattoos courtesy of Jimmy Haden at Focus tattoos, they show my personality. The Dee & Ricky cigarette LEGO piece is another piece I use to set myself apart.”
“The Nike shoes, are Stefan Janoski’s, I got them from a local skateshop to show my skating roots.”

“Well, my mother dresses me. She is into the hipster style like Matt Pierre Bonitati. She is down with crazy styles of today’s society. “I got my style from my homies in Oakland, LA, and Chicago. I am really into urban, vintage, skate wear. I am most proud of my Vans collection. Mainly because they’ve got soul. Each pair of Vans I have carries a unique story about bruises and scuffs on them. I’m also proud of my Vans collection because I only wear original colors and styles. I’ll only wear them if they were out when Tony Alva was skating.”
“My hats are all pretty original and soulful, because I buy hats that have old school logos (i.e. Applebee’s, Pepsi, Coca Cola, Burger King, and Munroe Park). Nostalgia is what I live for. As a musician and a photographer its my main inspiration, and to top off my choice of fashion. I show my appreciation for the “old school” by sporting a wild afro (when I’m not wearing a rad hat). Yadida!!!”
