Pleasures Shoot at Record Revolution on Coventry
For Summer 2019, Pleasures' collection is entitled "The End has No End" and plays with giving new meaning to ordinary people and objects within the context of the collection. The clothes are infused with artwork from Hong Kong’s DJ Healthy and Nashville graphic designer Zach Halfhill.
Given Pleasures' roots in music culture, we did this shoot at Record Revolution - one of the oldest independent record stores in the United States, having been open since 1947 in Cleveland's Coventry Village. Everyone from Led Zeppelin, the Who and Lou Reed to Elvis Costello, Patti Smith and Bruce Springsteen frequented the store when they came to Cleveland, as well as more recent artists like Minus the Bear, Gym Class Heroes, Saul Williams and Hank Williams III.
