Friends of NEXT, Blessed Label got another great product placement shot when Lebron James threw on one of their very popular 5 panels hats during the San Antonio Spurs game.
By the way, Next Coventry still has the Blessed Label pop-up store, and a few of these hats left.
The Los Angeles Times says it was “inspired by the Doughboy of World War I, the collection was heavy on the military and equestrian influences with a dash of rock ‘n’ roll swagger thrown in; motorcycle jackets, suede, double-breasted peacoats, spats and tall boots festooned with straps and buckles.”
Though, the question remains. Is this something you are into? Tell me. Do you like Mik Cire?
Matt Stuart is a photographer based in the UK who captures odd situations and coincidences in normal everyday life. A lot of times it is people interacting with advertising, objects, or other weird circumstances. Some of the results are touching, some just for fun, but all of them are unique and interesting. Hit the jump for some more flicks.
My homie from Eighty81Jameel got me hip to this new video by Curren$y and Stalley titled “Address”. I have always been a fan of Curren$y, but now listening to Stalley verse on this joint just made me a fan of the Massillon, OH native. I can’t wait to hear more from Stalley.
Below is a picture of Stalley’s recent visit to our Next Coventry location. Jameel of 8081 was showing Stalley around our city while being followed by MTV Jams cameras, because Dame Dash just started up a new rap group called Center Edge Territory. This lyrical rap group consist of Curren$y, Mos Def, Jay Electronica, and Stalley. I cant wait to hear what this team of dope MC’s create.
Dave from SneakerBible hit us up about his new site launching that is essentially a Wikipedia for sneakers. They’re encouraging users to write pages on the history of different shoes for a chance to win $500 towards a pair of kicks. The winner will be selected at random on March 23, but the more pages you create in the meantime the greater your chances of winning. The site seems like a good idea and fashion resource if the guys can monitor the historical accuracy of all the entries. The site is pretty bare (clean slate) as of now, so there are some prime shoes waiting for a description.
Anybody that knows me, knows I love shoes. A few of my recent pick ups are the Nike Air Max 95 retros and the Jordan VIs retros. I have never been a big fan of basketball ball shoes with the exception of the LeBrons, because well they’re LeBrons- until now. The Nike Zoom Kobe V is without a doubt my favorite pick up of the year so far. It is not often to you see a low top basketball shoe. They fit great and are super light plus they come is large selection of colors. I got them in the “Chaos” colorway that is inspired by one of Kobe’s favorite characters: The Joker from Batman. This Kobe V features a multi-colored upper consisting of foil-like side panels, a lime green swoosh, red/black shoelaces, aand purple accents. It is also finished with a lime outsole and a white/red speckled midsole. Look for the uber rare ALL STAR version only at NEXT.
Cleveland’s favorite DJ Steph Floss and his Eighty81 crew will be celebrating his birthday this Friday March, 5th at Dream Nightclub. Also, Eighty81 will be bringing a special guess out, DJ Lissa Monet from Toronto to let Floss enjoy his party. I know I won’t miss this, so Cleveland lets party hard for the homie DJ Steph Floss.
Unfortunately, Matt, one of our managers at our Next Coventry location, was murdered while replacing a display shoe. The staff and I were all sad for a couple of minutes, but then, I saw how his death presented a perfect opportunity for a Crooks and Castles photo shoot. So, after the Police left, we put Matt’s body in a selection of new Crooks and Castles apparel. Enjoy!

One word describes this mixtape, “crazy”. Shout out to the whole Cleveland Hts and S.F.S ent crew, 100 Proof represent them well with his new mixtape titltled “This Is Mile High Music”. In my opinion this guy is one of Cleveland’s best lyrical MC’s.
On his new mixtape 100 Proof produces 14 nice tracks such as #6 Jump Rope, #10 I Love U, and #13 Thanks, but the track that made me a fan was #9 Letter 2 Lou. Dedicated to his crew S.F.S and homie Lou Cal who past away two years ago. With all this said click here on www.its100proofmusic.com and download this mixtape. Comment and let me know how you feel about 100 Proof new mixtape.
